Registration is closed!

We reached capacity for the weekend on 8/7, and additional dancers have registered to be admitted if there are cancellations. It would be pointless to accept more applicatons.

About The Waltz Weekend

The primary focus of the workshop will be waltzing, including cross-step waltz and rotary waltz. More information about the dances to be taught will be available later. The weekend will be held at the Russel Acton Folk Center in Berea, KY (about 40 miles south of Lexington).

The weekend will start with a class 7:30 pm Friday and conclude Sunday at 1:00 pm. Attendance is by pre-registration only and will be role-balanced. The prerequisite for attendance is knowing any form of basic waltz (rotary, cross-step, box, Viennese...). Tuition is $95, except that a limited number of students may register for $45. Because space is limited to 62 people, we expect registration to fill quickly.

Saturday Evening Dance

Deejayed by Richard Powers

The Saturday night dance is included with your weekend registration. Dancers not registered for the weekend may also attend by paying $15 for couples or $10 for singles ($5 for students) at the door. This ball will be proctored by Richard Powers using his selection of recorded music. We will enjoy dances from several vintage eras, from the 1800s to the early 1900s, as well as contemporary music. The theme colors are black, white and red. No costuming is required, but use your imagination and include the theme colors in your dress. For the greater enjoyment of all, please come with a dancing partner.

Sorry, Registration is Closed!

You can register online and pay via credit card (recommended), or you can download the registration form and send it with payment to the address below.
